Chef at heart and grower by passion, George has spent nearly two decades crafting dishes that push the boundaries of flavor and presentation.

He began his career in award-winning Tampa Bay restaurants before taking his skills to the high seas as a super-yacht chef, traveling the world with his wife, Sara, and creating extraordinary meals for discerning clients globally.

It was during his travels that George discovered the artistry and versatility of microgreens—vibrant, flavorful ingredients that elevate dishes with color, texture, and taste.

Today, based in St. Petersburg, Florida, George cultivates premium microgreens and specialty microherbs for professional chefs, restaurants, and fine-dining kitchens, bringing the same creativity and precision from his culinary career to every tray he grows.

Sara von Waltsleben

Sara’s path has been anything but ordinary—and every step has shaped the heart and soul she brings to our small business. With a degree in finance from USF St Pete and a diploma in spa therapies at the Aveda Institute, she combines her mind for business with a deep passion for healing. Before settling back in St. Pete, Sara spent years traveling the world in the yachting industry, where she worked as a chief stewardess leading teams on luxury charters. After starting a family, she devoted herself to motherhood full-time—an experience that deepened her love for home, wellness, and meaningful connection.

At St. Pete Microgreens, Sara wears many hats. She manages our accounts, oversees customer service, and keeps the business running smoothly behind the scenes. Her attention to detail, care for people, and calm presence help us stay grounded and connected to what matters most—our community.

She’s also a gifted artist—when she’s not helping others feel better or balancing the books, she’s likely tucked away with her watercolor paints or colored pencils, quietly turning emotion into beauty.
